Beyond the Familiar Horizon

If you are hearing these words now, then our journey has come to an end.

Or perhaps … it is only beginning.

Tomorrow, life goes on. The same people. The same tasks. The same decisions.

Yet I would like to believe that you will look upon them a little differently now.

Perhaps you will not remember everything you heard today. And that does not matter at all.

Sometimes a single image is enough. A single thought. A single question.

For a single question can, one day, change the direction of an entire life.

We often search for a new path. Yet perhaps we must first see the one we are already walking with new eyes.

Sometimes a person cannot change their life – not because they do not know where to go, but because they have looked at it far too long from one and the same point of view.

The horizon does not move further away. Only the place from which we look at it changes.

And then, unexpectedly, what was near all along becomes visible.

Thank you for allowing me to walk this small stretch of the path with you.

If one day, on an entirely ordinary day, you unexpectedly remember one of these images …

Do not hurry onward.

Just pause for a moment.

Perhaps, in that very moment, life is offering you the chance to see a little more than before.

I wish for you that you may always find within yourself the courage to lift your gaze beyond the familiar horizon.

For it is there that a path sometimes opens – one you cannot see as long as you keep looking the way you always have.
